Armed raid on Co. Roscommon post office
Gardaí are hunting for an armed gang which raided a post office in Co. Roscommon this morning.
Three masked men armed with a sawn-off shotgun, a hatchet and a knife entered the premises in Ballinlough after 8.30am this morning.
The owner - who is in his 40s - was tied up, while the raiders escaped with what is believed to be a substantial sum of cash.
The alarm was raised when another staff member arrived at work a short time later.
