Garda fraud officers continue Anglo probe
Investigations into possible crimes committed at Anglo Irish Bank continue today after a day-long raid on the bank's head offices in Dublin.
Gardaí from the Bureau of Fraud Investigation backed up officials of the Director of Corporate Enforcement during searches yesterday.
The investigation focussed on records and computers to establish if there were breaches to company law at Anglo.
Fine Gael said the Financial Services Regulatory Authority should be abolished and replaced with an entirely new system.
The party's finance spokesman Richard Bruton told the Dáil that the entire system had been abused during a Private Members motion on banking reform.
