A teenage boy arrested for drug dealing outside a shopping centre in Dublin, has been remanded on continuing bail pending his court hearing.

The 16-year-old has been charged at the Children’s Court with possessing a supply of cocaine worth €500 with intent to supply to another, at the Rowlagh Shopping Centre, on the Neilstown Road, in Clondalkin, in Dublin, on October 29 last.

Judge Elizabeth MacGrath today ordered that copies of the videos of the Garda interviews with the teenager should be provided to the defence which has already been furnished with the statements taken in the case.

She remanded the boy, who was accompanied by his mother, to appear again next month when the case is to be heard.

Prosecuting Garda William Skelly had alleged earlier that the teenager “was selling the controlled drug cocaine. The estimated value was €500 and it is alleged he had a large quantity of cash, €1,200 in €50, €20 and €5 notes.”

The teen is denying the allegations.
