Mother of 'Scissor Sisters' pleads guilty
The mother of the notorious 'Scissor Sisters' today pleaded guilty to covering up the brutal murder of her African boyfriend.
Kathleen Mulhall admitted her part in the death of Farah Swaleh Noor, who was hacked to death and dismembered in Mulhall's Dublin home almost four years ago.
Her daughters Linda and Charlotte were jailed for killing the 38-year-old Kenyan, who was bludgeoned and knifed to death, before his remains were cut up and dumped.
His severed head and penis have never been found.
As a jury was about to be sworn in for her trial at Dublin's Central Criminal Court, 53-year-old Mulhall dramatically pleaded guilty to one single charge.
She admitted that on March 21, 2005, she knew her daughters had murdered her boyfriend and cleaned up the murder scene at 17 Richmond Cottages, Ballybough, to hide the evidence and prevent their arrest.
Mulhall, who wore a black cap, black jacket, and red top, cried as she was remanded in custody.
Mr Justice Paul Carney said Mulhall, of St Mary's Park, Carlow, will be sentenced on May 5.
