Two held following Meath firearms and drugs seizure

Gardaí in Co Meath are investigating the discovery of firearms and drugs in Navan.

Thirteen firearms were found when gardaí searched a house in an estate in the early hours of this morning. They included 12 shotguns and one high-powered rifle.

Cannabis worth around €80,000 was also found.

Two men in their late 20s have been arrested.

They are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Navan garda station.
