Interim examiner appointed to Chartbusters
An interim examiner has been appointed by the High Court to DVD rental chain Chartbusters, which has debts in the region of €20m.
Mr Justice John Edwards heard this evening that €12m of those debts are owed to ACC, Bank of Scotland Ireland and KBC.
The appointment of examiner Neil Hughes means that the company is now protected by the High Court while Mr Hughes and the directors consider a successful way forward.
The video rental chain has 37 stores around the country - 19 of which are in Dublin - and employs 252 people.
