Young woman stabbed to death at house in south Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a 43-year-old man following the fatal stabbing of a young woman in the south of the city last night.

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a 43-year-old man following the fatal stabbing of a young woman in the south of the city last night.

The 28-year-old was found with a number of stab wounds after Gardai were called to at a premises on Ranelagh Road.

The building is understood to be an accommodation unit for homeless men.

The injured woman was taken to St Vincent's Hospital, where she died just before 9pm.

The scene has been sealed off pending a technical examination and a post mortem will be carried out later today.
