FÁS spent €100,000 on Croke Park events
More alarming revelations have been made this morning about the spending of taxpayers' money by FÁS.
The state training agency reportedly spent more than €100,000 over a two-year period on sporting events, concerts and other entertainment at Croke Park.
Reports this morning say the spending included the purchase of four 10-year premium tickets that give holders access to all GAA games.
Interim FÁS director general Eddie Sullivan only became aware of the tickets on foot of a Freedom of Information request from the Irish Times.
Last week, he ordered that they be sold back to Croke Park because having them was inappropriate.
Mr Sullivan was appointed as FÁS chief following the resignation of Rody Molloy amid controversy over the spending of public money on luxury trips to the US.
