Cost of living hits three-year low

The cost of living has fallen to a three-year low as a sharp drop in oil prices, rent and mortgage interest rates finally hit households, it emerged today.

Official figures showed the annual rate of inflation plummeted to 2.5% in November compared to 4% in October.
