Bomb found near Belfast BMX track
Four blast bombs have been found near a BMX track in Belfast, the PSNI confirmed today.
A controlled explosion was carried out by army bomb disposal experts as part of the security operation in south Belfast.
Police received information that the devices had been left at Bentham Drive near a railway line and in the area of the BMX track.
The security operation in the Donegall Road area began last night and this morning police confirmed four blast bomb devices had been discovered.
No information was available on which organisation was responsible for the bombs, but police said they have removed the devices for further examination.
