Gardaí release man held in connection with Quinn murder

Gardaí in Co Monaghan have released a man in his 30s arrested on Sunday night in connection with the murder of Paul Quinn last night.

The man was freed without charge last night after being questioned for two days about the killing.

Mr Quinn, a 21-year-old truck driver from Cullyhanna in south Armagh, was beaten to death by a gang of men after being lured to a remote farm in Co Monaghan in October 2007.

His family has blamed IRA members in south Armagh for the murder.

Fourteen arrests have been made as part of the cross-border investigation into the case, but nobody has been brought before the courts.
