Appeal for help tracing convicted sex offender

Gardaí and police in the North have issued appeals for the public's help in tracing the whereabouts of a convicted sex offender.

Ernest George Finlay – who is 53 – has breached his post-custody conditions and is considered a risk to members of the public.

He is described as being around 5’ 8” in height, of medium build with blue eyes, brown hair and with a small gap between his upper two front teeth.

He also has several tattoos - three of which are on his arms and include a picture of a horse’s head.

Members of the public are being advised not to approach him and to report his whereabouts to the police.

The PSNI is also appealing to Mr Finlay to hand himself in.
