Gardaí release two in shooting investigation
Two suspects quizzed over a gun attack outside a bookmakers were today released without charge.
The 41-year-old victim remains in intensive care after been shot a number of times in a gangland style attack in Dublin yesterday.
A gunman opened fire on the man as he sat in a car outside a bookies in Cardiffsbridge Road, Finglas, shortly before midday.
As the injured man, named locally as Michael Murray, tried to escape through the garden of a nearby house he was shot again.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital, where his condition is described as comfortable.
Two men, both aged 20, were later arrested by detectives and quizzed at separate garda stations.
A garda spokesman said the man detained at Finglas was released this morning and that a file would be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The man held at Blanchardstown was also released from the provisions of section 30, but remains in custody due an outstanding arrest warrant relating to a separate matter.
