A 63-year-old man arrested earlier this week in connection with the murder of sheep farmer Patrick Devine in Co Tyrone has been charged with offences linked to a separate case.

A 63-year-old man arrested earlier this week in connection with the murder of sheep farmer Patrick Devine in Co Tyrone has been charged with offences linked to a separate case.

The man has been charged with firearms offences and making threats to kill in connection with an incident in the Claudy area in August 2003.

He was one of three people arrested earlier this week as part of the ongoing investigation into the fatal shooting of Mr Devine at his home in the Sperrin Mountains in September 2004.

The other two men, aged 26 and 30, have been released without charge.
