Man's hand slashed in Belfast attack

A man has been slashed on the hand and had a finger partially severed during an assault in south Belfast, police said tonight.

The victim, 45, was injured by three men at the Tree Centre, a timber recycling venture on the Donegall Road.

The incident happened at around 4.30pm and a motive has not been established. Detectives appealed for anybody with information to contact them.
