Man injured in drive-by shooting in Limerick

A man is recovering in hospital this morning after he was shot in a drive-by shooting in Limerick overnight.

A man is recovering in hospital this morning after he was shot in a drive-by shooting in Limerick overnight.

The 20-year-old victim, who is believed to be from the Garryowen area, was found injured on South Claghaun Road shortly after 11pm.

He is believed to have suffered leg injuries after a gunman fired a number of shots at him from a passing BMW before driving away.

The man is being treated in the Midwestern Regional Hospital.
