Two fishermen have been arrested in Glengad in Co Mayo today.

Gardaí say the men entered the safe zone around the Solitaire - a pipe-laying ship which arrived in Broadhaven Bay last night.

Shell is set to begin offshore pipe laying for the Corrib gas field.

The men were arrested shortly before 9am this morning, and their boat is being towed back to Ballyglass Pier.
