Documents reveal complaints against nursing homes

A large number of complaints have been upheld against nursing homes in Cork, Donegal and Kerry in the past three years, according to documents obtained by Fine Gael TD Fergus O’Dowd.

The papers, obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, show that almost 50 complaints of abuse, poor care and neglect have been upheld against nursing homes in counties Cork and Kerry.
