O’Reilly highlights waiver scheme for nursing home fees

The ombudsman is welcoming a HSE decision to allow a reduction in nursing home charges in the case of the daughter of an elderly lady.

Emily O'Reilly had asked the HSE to review the woman's request for a waiver on the fees because she had taken out loans for the purpose of maintaining her mother at home.
