Gardaí refuse to release amount of cash taken in raid
Gardaí are refusing to disclose how much money was stolen during this morning's cash-in-transit van hold up in South Dublin for operational reasons.
The robbery took place at the Killiney Shopping centre at 9.50am this morning.
Superintendent Martin Fitzgerald said it was very early on in the investigation but the hold-up was over in a matter of minutes.
He said gardaí were appealing to witnesses who may have seen the getaway car, a silver Volkswagen Passat, registration number 05-C-10170.
He said this car, which was stolen, left the shopping centre and turned left onto Rochestown Avenue just after 9.50am.
