Gardaí get more time to question Paul Quinn detainees
Three men being questioned by Gardaí in connection with the murder of Paul Quinn in October last year have had their period of detention extended for 24 hours.
The application was made at a special sitting of Carrickmacross District Court in Co Monaghan last night.
The men, aged 22, 24 and 36, who have addresses in Castleblayney, Co Monaghan and Crossmaglen, Co Armagh, were arrested during a series of raids on Tuesday morning.
Judge Sean McBride was told last night that the investigation regarding the three centred on the analysis of items found during searches of their homes and that those results would be available to the Gardaí over the next 24 hours.
