Teenagers quizzed in relation to Dublin murder
Two young men were today arrested by detectives investigating the murder of a man in Dublin earlier this month.
The 17-year-old and 19-year-old are being questioned about the killing of David Rooney, who died ten days after being attacked in Crumlin.
They are being held at Sundrive Road garda station and Crumlin garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, which allows them to be detained for up to 24 hours.
Another young man and woman, both aged 18, were arrested over the murder earlier this week.
They have been released without charge, while detectives prepare files for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Mr Rooney, aged 35, of Durrow Road, Crumlin, had been fighting for his life in St James’ Hospital since the July 2 assault on Clonmacnoise Road.
He eventually died ten days later.
