The Labour party has said that Europe will consider a 'No' vote in the Lisbon Treaty Referendum to mean that Ireland is turning its back on the EU.

Labour MEP Pronsias de Rossa said today that the reaction of the other 26 members of the European Union would be one of utter shock if Ireland rejects the treaty this Thursday.
