Education Minister Batt O'Keefe is inviting students to meet him next month to give their views on the new Leaving Cert timetable.

Education Minister Batt O'Keefe is inviting students to meet him next month to give their views on the new Leaving Cert timetable.

Mr O'Keeffe says any student who wishes to voice his or her opinion on the matter will be welcome to attend a meeting in his office at the Department of Education on July 1.

He says he wants to hear how this year's changes to the exam order have affected students.

The changes are designed to spread the exams more evenly over two weeks.

However, some pupils and teachers have been complaining that those sitting Home Economics, Chemistry and Geography had to sit six exams in the first three days while everyone else had extra free time for revision.
