School principal remembers Wexford fire family

The Principal of Clonroche National School, Norma Doyle, has said the community in Co Wexford is struggling to come to terms with the death of a young family.

The Principal of Clonroche National School, Norma Doyle, has said the community in Co Wexford is struggling to come to terms with the death of a young family.

The bodies of 41-year-old Dermot Flood, his 38-year-old wife Lorraine and their two young children were found after a fire at their home in Clonroche early yesterday morning.

Post mortems on their bodies are to take place in Dublin today.

The family were remembered at local mass services today.

Ms Doyle has said six-year-old Mark and five-year-old Julie were beautiful and bubbly children, and they will be sadly missed.
