A man in his twenties is due in court this morning, charged in connection with the death of an off-duty taxi driver in Dublin on Tuesday night.

A man in his twenties is due in court this morning, charged in connection with the death of an off-duty taxi driver in Dublin on Tuesday night.

He was arrested along with a woman in her twenties at a hotel in Dublin on Thursday evening.

She was released late on Friday night and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

Mark Smyth, 31, died from multiple stab wounds after he was attacked at Fortlawn Avenue in Blanchardstown.
