Dublin Airport braced for holiday exodus
More than 280,000 passengers are expected to travel through Dublin Airport over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, it emerged today.
The figure is up 7% on the same period last year.
Some 2,000 flights will arrive and depart between Friday and Monday, including 130 charters for holidaymakers in search of winter sun and skiing.
Lanzarote, Tenerife and Fuerteventura are the most popular sun destinations this weekend, while Salzburg and Innsbruck remain a favourite for skiers.
Passengers are reminded to check EU Aviation Security regulations before travelling.
Meanwhile, Ryanair has announced record bookings for the Easter holidays, with over 1.2 million passengers set to travel on the carrier’s 649 routes.
