The number of murders and killings in Ireland rose by 25% last year, according to the latest crime figures from the Central Statistics Office.

The number of murders and killings in Ireland rose by 25% last year, according to the latest crime figures from the Central Statistics Office.

The CSO says 84 murder and manslaughter cases were recorded by the Gardaí in 2007, up from 67 in 2006.
