Christina Noble worker admits fraud

A former employee of the Christina Noble Foundation for children has admitted defrauding the organisation of almost €13,000 over a two-year period.

A former employee of the Christina Noble Foundation for children has admitted defrauding the organisation of almost €13,000 over a two-year period.

Bernadette Moran (aged 29), of Kingswood Heights, Tallaght pleaded guilty in Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to six counts of misappropriation of funds between August 2002 and May 2004 involving the cashing of several cheques and the purchase of a flight to Vienna, Austria.

Moran’s guilty plea came just before a jury was scheduled to be sworn in for her trial.

Judge Patrica Ryan remanded Moran on continuing bail for sentencing later and ordered the preparation of a probation report. Evidence of the crimes will be heard at the sentence hearing.
