Gardaí drive home anti-drinking-and-driving message

The Gardaí are reiterating their warning to motorists not to drink and drive this Christmas.

Assistant Commissioner Eddie Rock has said gardaí are out in strength and will be carrying out random breath tests.

Three hundred and thirty-three people have died on Irish roads so far this year, with seven deaths last weekend alone.
