Man arrested after suspicious device found in Dublin city centre

A man has been arrested after he was found with a suspicious device in Dublin city centre.

The 22-year-old was stopped by gardaí who were on foot patrol on Kevin Street early this morning.

They took control of the device and brought the man into custody.

The Army Bomb Disposal Unit has been notified.
