Body recovered from car in river

The body of a man has been recovered from a car in a river in the North.

Police say the discovery was made in the Moyola River yesterday, but the car may have been in the water for a number of days.

It is understood that a member of the public alerted police to tyre tracks leading into the water at Derrynoid Road, Draperstown.

Police say they are treating the incident as a fatal road accident.
