Gardaí set up checkpoints to tackle drink-driving

Gardaí are to set up checkpoints across the country in a bid to catch more drink-drivers.

There have been over 24,000 drink-driving arrests since August 2006, and gardaí will be out conducting over 30,000 random breath tests between now and the New Year.
