New Amnesty director appointed

Colm O'Gorman has been appointed as executive director of Amnesty International Ireland.

The founder and director of 'One in Four' recently ran unsuccessfully for the Progressive Democrats in the General Election and served briefly in Seanad Eireann.

The 41-year-old Wexford man will take up the position early next year.
