Gardaí to monitor travel plans of air and sea passengers

Minister for Justice Brian Lenihan has reportedly unveiled new plans that will require the itineraries of all people travelling to and from Ireland to be logged in a centralised database.

Reports this morning say the move is part of plans to establish and electronic border control system.
