Two teenagers held after attempted raids in Limerick
Gardaí in Limerick have arrested two teenagers in connection with two attempted armed robberies in the city this morning.
No money was taken in either of the raids on post offices in Garryowen and Clonlara
The thieves, one of whom was armed with a handgun, targeted the Garryowen post office at around 9.30am before attempting a second robbery on the post office in Clonlara around 11am.
The two youths being questioned in connection with the incident were detained when Gardaí stopped a car on the Corbally road a short time later.
