Cyclists to raise money for missing persons help line
A cycle race to raise the awareness of missing persons is taking place in the north-east today.
It will involve members from several cycling clubs and volunteers and will run from Coolock in Dublin to Drogheda and Ardee before ending in Slane.
A major gap exists in the funding of the missing persons help line between the grant aid the service gets and the €80,000 it costs to run.
Dermot Browne of the Missing in Ireland Support Service has said funds are badly needed to keep the service going.
