FG: Gardaí are not equipped to tackle gun crime

Fine Gael is claiming that the Gardaí are not being properly equipped to tackle rising gun crime in Ireland.

Party spokesman Denis Naughten says official figures show that the number of officers authorised to carry firearms has actually fallen by more than 10% in the past five years.
