Councillor resigns after sex assault quiz

A Fianna Fáil county councillor has resigned from the party after he was arrested over the alleged sexual assault of a teenager in Co Kerry, it was revealed tonight.

The man, who serves outside the county, was on a trip to Killarney when he was quizzed by gardaí last Thursday after allegedly inviting a 16-year-old boy to his hotel room the previous night.
