The position should have been filled before the summer.

A leading campaigner for victims' rights is now calling on Ian Paisley and Martin McGuinness to admit that they cannot agree on a candidate for the job.

Alan McBride, who lost his wife and father in law in the 1993 Shankill Road bombing, says they should either re-advertise the post or change the process of appointment, possibly to include two commissioners.
