Swimmers take to water for Liffey Swim

Clear skies and only a slight breeze made conditions almost perfect today for the competitors in the 87th Liffey Swim.

More than 300 men and women from throughout Ireland and abroad braved the famous river’s murky depths for the annual 2.2km race, which began early this afternoon.
