Court to return verdict in Donegal man's 'mooning' case

A court in Senegal is expected to return a verdict today in the case of a Donegal teenager charged with indecent exposure in the west African nation.

Nineteen-year-old Patrick Devine was charged with the offence after being arrested last month for "mooning" on a public street in Dhaka.

He had been in prison from the time of his arrest until he was freed on bail last Friday.

He had been expected to remain in Senegal for today's verdict, but he is understood to have returned to his Donegal home on Monday evening.

This would suggest that the family do not expect a custodial sentence to be imposed.
