Family hoping to secure release of jailed Donegal student
The family of a Donegal student arrested for public exposure in Senegal are hoping he will be freed from jail today.
Nineteen-year-old Patrick Devine has been in prison since his arrest three weeks ago for dropping his trousers on a public street as part of a prank.
A court appeal is due to be made in the west African nation today in an effort to get the engineering student freed on bail.
He is due stand trial at the end of this month.
