Post mortem due on Cork woman's body

A post mortem will be carried out later today on the body of a young mother found dead on the north side of Cork City yesterday.

The woman's body was discovered at her home in Knocknaheeney shortly before 10am by her own mother, who lives across the street.

Gardaí have carried out an examination of the scene and are conducting house-to-house enquiries.

The post mortem examination is set to be carried out by the Deputy State Pathologist Doctor Margaret Bolster at Cork University Hospital.
