Inspectors clamp down on car tax scam

Revenue inspectors clamping down on a car tax scam have seized 54 vehicles and recouped €1.1m.

Rogue motorists importing luxury cars are converting them into commercial vehicles to avail of lower Vehicle Registration Tax (VRT) rates.
