Man critical after second overnight shooting in Dublin
A 25-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital in Dublin following a shooting incident in the west of the city this morning.
It's the second shooting incident in the capital overnight.
It occurred at about 5.30am on Fortlawn Park in Blanchardstown.
Gardaí said a man called to the house and shot the victim in the neck, then left the scene on a motorbike.
Officers then discovered a bike they believe may have been used in the incident on fire at nearby Sheepmore Grove.
The injured man was taken to Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown, where his condition is described as critical.
Meanwhile, gardaí in Clondalkin are investigating a separate shooting at a house on Oldchurch Crescent just before midnight.
Five people were in the house at the time - but nobody was injured.
