Martin, McGrath secure two more seats for FF

Micheál Martin and Micheál McGrath have secured two more seats for Fianna Fáil in Cork South Central.

Micheál Martin and Micheál McGrath have secured two more seats for Fianna Fáil in Cork South Central.

The two passed the quota of 9,845, though McGrath just shaded it with 9,866 first preferences.

Mr Martin polled 11,226 first preference votes.

The Green Party candidate Dan Boyle gained 4,945 votes, while Fine Gael's polled 5,739 and 5,863 first preferences respectively.
