An Irishman has conquered Mount Everest as part of his bid to climb the world's seven highest peaks in the space of just six months.

Ian McKeever arrived at the summit of the world's highest mountain yesterday afternoon after a six-day trek from Base Camp.

All money raised from the challenge is going to charities for people with osteoporosis.
