Breast cancer survivors call for more post-therapy resources
Survivors of breast cancer are calling for the National Cancer Strategy to be implemented as a priority.
They say there is a serious lack of resources for women who have come through therapy and are in need of specialised physical and psychological help.
Members of Europa Donna Ireland say that's one of the recommendations in the national strategy, but the Government has failed to roll it out.
Chairperson Deirdre O'Connell said post-cancer therapy is difficult, and patients can suffer from physical, psychological and social issues.
