Paisley says he won't shake McGuinness' hand at Stormont

DUP leader Ian Paisley has said he will not be shaking hands with Sinn Féin's Martin McGuinness when they are sworn in as First and Deputy First Minister next week.

The Taoiseach, the British Prime Minister and various US politicians are due in Stormont for the ceremony next Monday.

However, in an interview due to be broadcast on the BBC tonight, Dr Paisley says he will not be shaking hands with Mr McGuinness because the formality is not needed.

The DUP leader says he and Mr McGuinness are not actors trying to impress, but politicians tasked with delivering results for the electorate.
